Lion’s Mane Mushroom Recipes That’ll Make You Fall In Love

September 02, 2019

Mushrooms seem to be a love 'em or hate 'em type of food.  We believe that those who find themselves hating mushrooms just haven't had them prepared properly. Luckily, there are ways to help you grow to love mushrooms and us here at Advanced MycoTech are dedicated to guide you every step of the way.

So, maybe you've already heard about all the health benefits that mushrooms provide and probably wish you liked them enough to eat them more regularly other than the occasional pizza or salad topping.

However, a good thing to remember is the fact that mushrooms should always be cooked. According to Andrew Weil, MD, “Mushrooms have very tough cell walls and are essentially indigestible if you don't cook them. Thoroughly heating them releases the nutrients they contain, including protein, B vitamins, and minerals, as well as a wide range of novel compounds not found in other foods.”

Lion's mane mushrooms, in particular, are packed with amazing health benefits and incredible medicinal qualities, which makes for a great addition to any nutrition plan. Lion’s mane health benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Inducing nerve growth factor (NGF)
  • Preventing or slowing the onset of dementia and Alzheimer's
  • Reducing the risk of heart disease

In addition, adding lion's mane mushrooms into your diet would make Hippocrates proud!

"Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food."

~Hippocrates

To get you started, we're going to introduce you to three unbelievably delicious lion's mane mushroom recipes that’ll leave you wanting more. Whether you’re new to lion’s mane or a veteran, these recipes will be useful and tasty!
